Nekoma Onsen is a famous hot spring that has been loved since ancient times.
The view from the open-air bath overlooking Lake Hibara is so luxurious it is hard to put into words.
Relax and enjoy the soft water.
Three features of Nekoma Onsen
Enjoy the luxurious natural hot spring water that gushes from within the hotel grounds. The highly insulating water retains heat well, promoting blood circulation and metabolism. This renowned hot spring, beloved for centuries, is a gift from the magnificent nature of Urabandai.
Nekoma Onsen is a neutral hot spring with a pH of 6.2. The water is gentle on the body and does not tire you out, making it suitable for long, relaxing baths and even for the elderly. Its pH is close to that of the skin, so it is gentle and ideal for babies' first hot spring experience.
Nekoma Onsen's spring quality is a chloride spring. This water has a high heat retention effect and does not cool down easily, making it a beauty bath that promotes blood flow and metabolism. What's more, it contains over 200mg of metasilicic acid, a natural moisturizing ingredient, far exceeding the 100mg that is expected to have a skin-beautifying effect. Please take your time to enjoy this beauty bath, which can also be called a "natural lotion."
Metasilicic acid is a beauty ingredient that is currently attracting attention but is not listed as a spring quality name.
This natural moisturizing ingredient promotes skin metabolism and makes your skin smooth, helping to support beautiful skin.
This is also included in moisturizing cosmetics and moisturizing bath salts for skin, and is expected to have the effect of regulating the skin's ceramides.
It is said that water with a metasilicic acid content of 100mg or more can be expected to have a "skin-beautifying effect," but the hot springs at Urabandai Lake Resort contain an astounding 200mg or more.
The beauty bath and skin-beautifying bath, which can be called "natural lotion," awaits you.
Open-air bath
Hibarami no Yu
The open-air bath "Hibarami no Yu" is popular for its scenic view of Lake Hibara. The color of the sky changes with the time of day and the scenery changes with the seasons. A view that can only be seen at the time of bathing unfolds.
The open-air bath, which is fed directly from the source, is a highly effective chloride spring. It keeps you warm and promotes blood flow and metabolism. The water is also rich in the natural component metasilicic acid, making it popular with women as a "beautiful skin bath."
Large public bath
Aurora no Yu
From the open-feeling windows, you can see the trees surrounding Aurora no Yu and Lake Hibara. Relax and unwind in the spacious bathtub.
*The large bath uses a circulating filtration system, while the small bath uses natural hot spring water.
Facilities and Services
Steam sauna
A steam sauna is a room that is filled with steam and the room temperature is raised using a special radiator to reach a temperature of 45-50°C.
Slow sweating at low temperatures helps remove waste products from the body that cause stiffness and pain, and also breaks down excess fat in the body, promoting rejuvenation.
In contrast to the intense steam of a high-temperature dry sauna, the low-temperature, gentle steam sauna can be safely used by those with cold intolerance, lower back pain, stiff shoulders, joint pain, as well as those with chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and other respiratory illnesses. Please enjoy the gentle steam sauna to your heart's content.

The main concept of the post-bath area is "modern Japanese." Passing through a noren curtain that is over 10 meters wide, lighting with a crease pattern made from washi paper conveys a sense of peace and relaxation.
Additionally, the walls on both sides of the bath feature a Kokeshi doll pattern, a traditional craft of Fukushima Prefecture, incorporating the characteristics of Japan and Fukushima.
Beauty massage
Enjoy a moment of relaxation with our carefully selected aromatherapy and massages, tailored to your needs such as fatigue recovery and relaxation.
The massage room adjacent to the bathhouse features stone walls reminiscent of a cave, and soft lighting creates a tranquil atmosphere. Experience the Japanese tranquility and inspiration firsthand.
You can choose from a wide range of services, including body massages and facials.
