Learn and see in the Inawashiro area
When you get off at Inawashiro Station, Mount Bandai will greet you.
The first day begins with a pleasant, cool, and clear air.
We immediately headed to our next destination by taking the "Hideyoku-go" circular bus (operates from late July to mid-November) which visits the main tourist spots in the area around Lake Inawashiro, or by taxi.

Inawashiro Herb Garden
Located in the Bandai Plateau, this 100,000 square meter paradise of flowers and fragrances is a spectacular sight. Approximately 200 types of herbs, including lavender and chamomile, as well as other flowers such as rape blossoms and cosmos bloom in every season. The popular annual event "Umbrella Sky" is held in the greenhouse within the park, creating a fantastical world. Be sure to take some photogenic photos to remember your trip. The attached herb shop sells herbal products and also serves lavender soft serve ice cream, herbal tea, and light meals.

Hideyo Noguchi Memorial Hall
The birthplace of Dr. Hideyo Noguchi and the exhibition hall are both located here, and the house has been left exactly as it was when he was born, including the hearth where he burned his left hand. The exhibition hall also has exhibits on the doctor's research achievements and a corner where you can learn and experience the world of bacteria through games and other means.
The adjacent Infectious Disease Museum conveys the knowledge and experience humans have built up about infectious diseases, as well as progress toward the future, and allows visitors to learn correct knowledge about infectious diseases.

Inawashiro Craft Beer Hall
The authentic beer, brewed using the techniques of a Braumeister (brewmaster) invited from Germany, has won the International Beer Award. You can enjoy local beer while looking out at Mount Bandai, as well as original sausages and snacks that go perfectly with beer.

Kitakata Ramen
The history of Kitakata Ramen dates back to the late Taisho and early Showa periods. At that time, there were no ramen shops in Kitakata city, but a young man who had come from China was selling ramen (Shina Soba). This Shina Soba is said to be the origin of Kitakata Ramen. Kitakata Ramen is basically soy sauce-based, but the color and flavor vary greatly from shop to shop. The noodles also differ in thickness, curl, and chewiness. A major characteristic is the use of "flat, aged, high-hydration noodles," which contain more water than typical noodles. For shop information, maps, etc., please see "Kitakata Ramenkai".
After the meal, head to Aizu to see Fukushima's representative traditional crafts and sake breweries!

This retro-style cafe and teahouse, which was renovated from a rice storehouse from the Taisho era, offers coffee brewed with spring water from the Aizu Miyama mountains and rice dumplings made with 100% Koshihikari rice. Tsurugajo Castle

Lake Cruise in Hibara
On Lake Hibara, the largest lake Urabandai, you can leisurely cruise among the islands floating on the lake while gazing at the rugged crater of Mount Bandai. In spring, you can enjoy the fresh greenery and the sparkling lake surface, as well as the Oyamazakura cherry blossoms on the floating island known as "Sakurajima," and in autumn, the picturesque autumn foliage—scenery that can only be seen from a cruise.

Japan Kimono Museum
Opening in October 2022. The museum will exhibit antique kimonos from the Edo period to the early Showa period, including courtesan travel wear, courtesan uchikake, wedding uchikake and furisode, and meisen silk. Enjoy the beautiful world of kimono, boasting one of the largest collections in Japan. After viewing the exhibits, you can relax in the cafe on the first floor.
