The 51st Urabandai Fire Mountain Festival will be held on July 21st (Sun)!
The Urabandai Fire Mountain Festival, a major event symbolizing summer in Urabandai will be held on July 21st (Sunday)!
A memorial service for the victims of the Mount Bandai eruption and a lantern floating ceremony on the lake will be held.
Other events include a large street market and a fireworks display.
Popular fireworks displays feature personalized fireworks with messages attached, as well as underwater starbursts. Don't forget to admire the fireworks reflected on the lake's surface, not just in the night sky!

The Urabandai Fire Mountain Festival, a major event symbolizing summer in Urabandai will be held on July 21st (Friday) for the first time in four years!
A memorial service for the victims of the Mount Bandai eruption and a lantern floating ceremony on the lake will be held.
Other events include a large open-air market, Kawageta Taiko drumming performance, Oshiogawa Mae Kagura dance, Aizu Bandaisan Bon Odori dance, and a fireworks display.
Popular fireworks displays feature personalized fireworks with messages attached, as well as underwater starbursts. Don't forget to admire the fireworks reflected on the lake's surface, not just in the night sky!

A round-trip bus service between Urabandai and Haneda Airport has begun!
■A round-trip bus service between Urabandai and Haneda Airport has begun!
From December 17th, the shuttle bus service that previously ran between Tokyo Station and Urabandai Lake Resort has been upgraded to a regular express bus route with Haneda Airport International Terminal as its starting and ending point! A departure ceremony was held amidst a blizzard.
From now on, customers traveling by plane can also reach Urabandai Lake Resort by taking just one bus!
We'd love to see even more customers from overseas! Of course, our plan including round-trip shuttle bus service from Tokyo Station is still available!
The bus is equipped with a toilet and Wi-Fi! Enjoy a more comfortable journey to Urabandai!

This is a special French restaurant that only accommodates a limited number of guests per day. It is open for lunch and dinner! No reservations are required for lunch. (Reservations are required for dinner.)
We are currently offering a limited-time winter lunch menu, allowing you to enjoy authentic French cuisine at reasonable prices starting from 1,000 yen (tax included).
The restaurant features large windows that let in plenty of sunlight, offering a panoramic view of Lake Hibara, the largest lake in the area. Enjoying French cuisine while taking in the spectacular view that you can never see in the city is exceptionally delicious.

The icefalls of Urabandai: "Blue Fall & Yellow Fall"
The icefalls "Blue Fall & Yellow Fall" in Urabandai were featured in NIKKEI STYLE's "Waterfall Girl Trip," a series about healing and discovery.
Ayako Sakazaki, a "waterfall girl" who travels around Japan with waterfalls as her theme, is a writer with over 10 years of experience visiting waterfalls throughout Japan. She's drawn to the healing power of waterfalls and wants to share the potential of Japanese waterfalls with more people! Filming on location for the British BBC!
Yesterday, we carried out a location shoot for the BBC, a British broadcaster, which we had been discussing for some time!
A travel program featuring an Olympian who competed in the London and Rio Olympics and won a gold medal in canoeing/kayak, exploring the Tohoku region.
Initially, she wanted to take up canoeing because of her Olympic aspirations Σ(゜Д゜)
I had to politely decline, explaining that kayaking isn't possible at this time of year when the ski resorts are open.
After finishing our meeting in the lobby of Urabandai Lake Resort we were staying, we headed to the field. It was surprising to see all the British men in short-sleeved polo shirts despite the snow! (laughs) It won't be broadcast in Japan, but I hope it conveys the charm of Tohoku, Fukushima, and Urabandai ♪
Approximately two weeks of filming will be edited down to 25 minutes. I was amazed by the BBC's capabilities and the program's production budget (lol). I hope Urabandai will be featured for as long as possible (>人<)

A reception party was held
Since opening in October 2015, the hotel has been renovated over the course of a year, and a reception party was held on November 16th and 17th.
We were visited by many business people and politicians from within and outside the prefecture who have been kind to us. We believe we were able to convey the charms of the hotel one by one during the preview. They also seemed to enjoy the food at the party and the entertainment show by Croquette, which was exclusive to invited guests.

A canoe adventure experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from 2 to 90!
"Lake Onogawa Splash Lake Canoe"
Enjoy splashing around in the water on this guided canoe adventure on Lake Onogawa, one of Japan's largest and most diverse experiences. Even elementary school students can safely enjoy a one-person kayak on Lake Onogawa, which boasts stunning scenery and is home to the Onogawa spring water, one of Japan's 100 most famous waters.
Even if you have no outdoor experience, you will be able to paddle properly by yourself.
The tour is aimed at people aged 10 and over, but as there are experienced guides, children as young as 2 years old can also participate if requested.
It's also recommended for those who are planning a slightly later summer vacation.
The experience will be available until October 9th (planned).
